Pakistan is a few hours away of its most Controversial Elections in its 76 year history.

Will Imran Khan make a comeback after conviction in frivolous, baseless, and politically motivated cases?

Pakistan is already under massive crisis and the military establishment is trying to mock the democracy by conducting a fake electoral exercise the result of which is known to everyone.

Systematic disintegration of the biggest political party- Imran Khan led (PTI) Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf was the former ruling party until he was ousted. Ever since then, there had been all out efforts by the government, police, and strong military establishment to totally disintegrate the party. Firstly, nearly all of its leaders were put behind bars on Fake politically motivated charges. Secondly, hearings were delayed, and their bail applications were rejected.

This time, over a 10 Million new voters is added in the voter list, in which, most of them are youth. The new voters have a tendency towards Imran Khan’s PTI. While, the strong military establishment is trying to stop them to vote for Imran Khan. This may put a bad impression on youth about democracy in Pakistan and the role of military establishments in Potilitis.

Earlier, Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were convicted by the lower Court in three different cases (Tosha-Khana, Cypher, and Iddat) .

By the grace of God, I have led my life with impeccable financial integrity and credibility with the people of Pakistan donating billions of rupees for my philanthropic projects. Imran Khan

At the request of the Election Commission of Pakistan, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a 13-member Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) is due to arrive in Islamabad on 1 February and will remain in the country until the electoral process is completed.

The Commonwealth Secretary-General, the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, has selected a team of multidisciplinary experts from across the Commonwealth. The observer group will offer an independent and comprehensive assessment of the electoral process.

The Commonwealth Secretary-General said:

“I applaud Pakistan’s commitment to transparency and accountability. The Commonwealth is pleased to support Pakistan’s democratic journey. We look forward to peaceful and fair elections.”

The people of Pakistan already know the result of an upcoming election, which will lead Pakistan towards serious political and economic destabilization.
